Carrie Geldart is an American politician from Severna Park, Maryland and a 2006 candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates in District 33A. She is marketing manager for US Lacrosse. Geldart was raised in Tasmania after living in Crofton for a short time as a child. After her husband left active duty, they returned to Anne Arundel County in 2001. In her first political try in 2003, Geldart sought to become appointed to a vacancy on the Anne Arundel County Central Committee in District 21, but was unsuccessful due to her strong pro-choice views. Shortly thereafter in August 2003, while working as the former Assistant Director of Legislative Programs for the Fleet Reserve Association, and before graduating from school, she began Geldart & Associates to become a political consultant. Geldart & Associates is apparently the trade name she used, but there is no business registered by this name and there were no "associates." In her first political management efforts, Geldart managed the unsuccessful congressional campaign of Bob Duckworth in 2004. Geldart received some criticism for running an uninspiring campaign in which Duckworth achieved 34% of the vote against longtime incumbent Congressman Ben Cardin, also losing the Anne Arundel County district that Duckworth had formerly won by large margins in three previous campaigns. Geldart then became the fundraiser for Dirk Haire's fledgling run for Anne Arundel County Executive in 2006. Geldart left the campaign in May, 2005 days before Haire quit the race. In her announcement in September 2005, Geldart stated her reasons for running as being the mom of two children in public schools and "The timing is right for me personally."〔(News In Brief (www.HometownGlenBurnie.com - The Maryland Gazette) ) 〕 Presumably, this is because no one has asked her to be involved in any campaigns. For a political operative, campaign manager, fundraiser and political aspirant, Geldart has made relatively few financial contributions to candidates for office including: Terry Gilleland, Janet Greenip, Dirk Haire, and Tony McConkey, and the State and County Republican Party. Geldart received a BA in Government and Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2003, is married with two children. ==Sources== * (Federal Election Commission Campaign Finance Reports and Data ) * (Maryland State Board of Elections Campaign Finance Database ) 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Carrie Geldart」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
